Gerard did some family research for me in a very timely manner that enabled me to bring information to two 80+ year old relatives in Chicago about their Irish grandmother's family on a recent whirlwind family trip to the Midwest. The grandmother's name was Bridget Marren. They never knew how many siblings Bridget Marren had or that Bridget's mother Atty Marren had died just a few months after the last of the eight Marren siblings were born. It was Gerard who unearthed and verified all this priceless information.
I was then able to locate all of the four Marren sisters and several of the four brothers and trace their lives in the USA.
Gerard was the catalyst for this invaluable information which I was able to present to my relatives. The project was very special for all involved. My elderly cousins remembered such good times at their Marren grandmother's home when they were young!
I have already read Gerard's wonderful book titled Where's Merrill? I can thoroughly recommend this book to all family historians. It is not a research guide book, as such. It's a very entertaining thriller novel - but you also learn so much about how to conduct research professionally, and how to interpret confusing data found on retrieved records.

This is the second time I have engaged Gerard to research my ancestors. When I discovered that another branch of my ancestry was Irish, I didn't hesitate to get back in touch. I want to thank you once again for your valuable insights about my family. Your service is absolute value for money. Not only did you retrieve historically valuable family records which I would have taken weeks to locate (had I the luxury of a trip to Ireland) but your knowledge enabled me to fill in many gaps around the bare facts from Ireland and my own local research in NZ. Highly recommended. I would still love to travel to Ireland and now I have double the reasons.

Cross Family - I never knew my maternal Grandfather as he and my Nan divorced before I was born. Although it was said that he wasn't a pleasant character, my sister and I have always been curious about our Irish side of the family. Remarkably, my Nan bares no malice towards my now-deceased grandfather, so I was able to pass to Gerard a few snippets of her information.
Gerard has continued to amaze us with what he has found out about our maternal grandfather and his family. Now not only myself and my sister, and our families, but more importantly my Nan, have some idea of the family she married into. We can now all begin to piece the puzzle together. In fact, we now have 7 generations on the Cross side of the family tree which was quite bare until I contacted Gerard.
I cannot praise Gerard enough for all his hard work and help. He is a genuinely great guy. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in their Irish Family to contact Gerard now!
With Gerard's assistance, my search continues into some hard to locate ancestors .... a journey I am looking forward to.
Thankyou Gerard from myself and my entire family X

Gerard has been an exceptional researcher. He has stayed in touch with us, informing our family every step of the way, and finished our project in a timely fashion. Gerard, our Hughes family in Hillingdon thanks You!
Gerard was very helpful, first in assisting me in how to proceed with my research to best achieve my goals. Then he went about the task of researching and identifying key information and documents necessary for me to verify family relationships. He was professional and prompt throughout the project. In the end, I was very successful with my project. Having now just returned from Ireland and visited relatives for the first time, I can say that his research was very accurate. I will certainly not hesitate to utilize his services in my future projects.

Gerard Neary went well beyond my expectations! Within just a short amount of time, he was able to find ancestral documents, and provide background information related to these documents, that brought my ancestry to life. Also, within this short amount of time, he located living family members related to my ancestry. He assisted with making my first contact with them. It has been an incredible experience!!!!

Gerard was extremely helpful and went the extra yard in finding out information on my Grandfather's family. I would highly recommend him.
Gerard is amazing ! I never expected any results as fast as he got them for me. In our short time working together he was in constant contact with me and even gave me more information on my family ties than the document he found of my Great Great Grandparents. When he's available I would love to work with him again and again !
He found what I was looking for, and more if I wanted. Good job.

Gerard did a great job keeping the lines of communication open and went above and beyond the scope of my poorly written enquiry. I highly recommend Gerard to anyone needing help.
